Who operates this site
This website, dmx-power.com (the “Site”), is operated by DMX Power, LLC of 3220 Granada Ave N, Oakdale, MN 55128, USA — referred to in this Privacy Statement as “we” or “us”.
DMX Power is committed to protecting and respecting your privacy. This Privacy Statement should be read together with our Cookies Policy below, and sets out how we treat any personal information you give us or that we collect from you through the Site.
Product bought before 1 August 2025 was sold by Sensata Technologies rather than by DMX Power. Information you gave Sensata is covered by Sensata’s own privacy statement, not by this one.

Information we may collect from you through the Site
Most of the Site can be read without telling us anything. You give us personal information when you choose to contact us, and we collect a small amount automatically as you browse.
What you give us. Depending on which form you use, that may include:
- Your name, company, postal address, email address and phone number;
- For a warranty claim or return authorization: the model and serial number of the unit, the installation date, the application it is used in, a description of the fault, and dated proof of purchase — which is usually a photograph of a receipt;
- For a technical support request: the model number and a description of what the unit is doing;
- Records of your correspondence with us.
That is all a form keeps. We do not store the IP address a form was sent from, and we do not attach anything to your submission that you did not type into it.
What we collect automatically as you browse. The pages you look at, the site you arrived from, and your IP address, operating system and browser type. This is statistical and does not normally identify you individually; it is not joined up with anything you have sent us, and it is not kept against your name. Analytics only runs if you allow it; see the Cookies Policy below.
What we use it for. To answer your inquiry, to provide technical support, to administer warranty claims and returns, to send you information you have asked us for, and to understand how the Site is used so we can improve it.
Our legal basis. Where the law requires us to have one, it is: performance of a contract, for warranty claims and returns; our legitimate interest in answering inquiries and running the Site; your consent, for analytics; and compliance with a legal obligation where one applies.
We do not ask for payment card numbers, Social Security numbers or any other sensitive personal information through this Site.
Privacy statement
Disclosing your personal information
We do not sell your personal information. We never have. We do not exchange it for money or for any other valuable consideration, in any capacity, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising or targeted advertising.
We disclose personal information only in these circumstances:
- To service providers who work on our behalf — website hosting, email delivery, and site analytics. They may use the information only to provide that service to us, and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes or to pass it on;
- To an authorized service center or distributor, where that is necessary to carry out a warranty repair or a return you have asked for;
- Where you have asked us to, or have otherwise consented;
- Where the law requires it, or to establish, exercise or defend a legal claim;
- In a merger or acquisition, where our company or substantially all of its assets change hands, in which case your information may form part of the transferred assets.

Where we store your personal information
Where it is held. Your information is stored in the United States. The Site is hosted there, and the providers we use to run it and to deliver our email operate there.
What goes further than that. The Site is delivered through a content delivery network, which keeps copies of public pages on servers around the world so that they load quickly wherever you are. What you send us through a form passes through that network but is not stored on it; it goes to the United States.
The dealer locator map is drawn by MapTiler, a mapping provider based in Switzerland. Asking them for a map sends them what they need to draw it, and — as with a request to any website — the IP address it came from. They are not told who you are, and they are not used to track you.
If you let your browser share your location on that page, your coordinates stay in your browser. They are used there to center the map and to work out which locations are nearest you. They are not sent to us, and they are not sent to MapTiler. Your browser asks you first, and the locator works normally if you say no.
Google Analytics, if you have allowed it, processes what it collects on Google’s own infrastructure, which spans several countries.
If you contact us from outside the United States, what you send will be transferred to and stored in the United States.
How long we keep it. We keep personal information only as long as it is needed for the purpose it was collected for. Because that period is different for each purpose, these are the criteria we use rather than a single figure:
- Warranty claims and return authorizations — for the life of the applicable warranty, and then for as long afterwards as a claim arising from it could still be brought. A warranty record has to outlive the warranty itself: if we cannot retrieve your claim we cannot tell whether cover still applies, and the result would be refusing a valid claim or honoring an expired one. Warranty periods run up to five years from purchase, or 66 months from the date of manufacture, and are set out in full in our Limited Warranty Policy (document 66-0348);
- Sales, technical support and general inquiries — for as long as it takes to deal with the inquiry and a reasonable period after, in case you come back to us about the same unit or the same issue;
- Site analytics — on Google Analytics’ own retention schedule. This data is not linked to your name or your correspondence with us;
- Anything we are required to keep by tax, accounting or other law — for the period that law specifies.
You can ask us to delete information we hold about you at any time; see Your rights below.

Links to third party websites
The Site links to other websites — among them our dealers, distributors and service centers, and our former parent company Sensata. Those sites have their own privacy policies, and we do not accept responsibility or liability for them. Following a link means leaving this Site, and this statement stops applying at that point.

Your rights
You can ask us to give you a copy of the personal information we hold about you, to correct it if it is wrong, or to delete it. You can also ask us to stop using it for a particular purpose, object to how we are using it, or ask for it in a portable, machine-readable form. If you gave us consent for something, you can withdraw it at any time — that does not affect anything we did lawfully before you withdrew it.
If you are in California. You have the right to know what personal information we collect and why, to have it deleted, to have it corrected, and not to be treated differently for exercising any of those rights. You also have the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information — but as set out above, we do not sell or share personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of and no “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link on this Site.
If you are in Quebec or elsewhere in Canada. You have the right of access, correction and withdrawal of consent described above, and the right to ask us to stop disseminating your information. You can decline analytics cookies on the notice shown when you first visit, or at any time afterwards, as described in the Cookies Policy below.
If you are in the EU or the UK. You hold the rights above under data protection law, and you may also complain to your data protection authority. We would ask you to raise it with us first so that we can investigate and try to put it right.
How to reach us. To exercise any of these rights, to ask a question about this statement, or to tell us your details need updating, call 1-800-553-6418, use the contact form, or write to us at:
