DMX Power LLC · St. Paul, Minnesota
American-built low-frequency power
We design, build and support mobile and off-grid power equipment from a single facility in Minnesota — engineering, technical support, manufacturing and shipping under one roof.
Who we are
One company, one building
DMX Power LLC builds inverters, inverter/chargers and the accessories that go with them. Following the buyout of the Magnum Energy and Dimensions product lines, we centralized engineering, manufacturing and fulfillment in St. Paul, Minnesota — a US-based operation built around reliability, responsiveness and long-term support.
Production is running at volume, and high-runner models are built to shelf stock rather than to order — a common unit ships instead of waiting for a build slot, while specialized and low-volume configurations still run on standard lead times.
The people behind it are the original Magnum and Dimensions engineers and support staff, averaging more than fifteen years with this hardware. When you call about a fifteen-year-old unit, someone here remembers it.
What we build
Power conversion for equipment that moves
Our units run in utility and corporate fleets, RVs, marine, work trucks, renewable-energy systems and the export market — anywhere the load has to keep working away from a wall socket.
The line spans 400 to 17,600 watts in single- and three-phase topology, accepts DC input from 12 to 48 volts, and is offered in both pure sine wave and modified sine wave. Beyond the standard models we take on custom and application-specific designs for OEMs and specialized requirements.

How we build them
Rated for the application, not the spec sheet
Mobile power gets treated hard — vibration, temperature swing and duty cycles a fixed installation never sees. Three things follow from that.
Rugged construction
- Built for vibration and temperature swing. Our inverters are typically used outdoors on moving vehicles. High-quality construction methods maintain system integrity across a wide range of operating conditions.
- Examined by an independent laboratory. The construction, performance, manufacturing testing, rating and marking of each unit has been examined by an independent testing laboratory.
Agency approval
- Most of our products are UL Listed. The same listing the electrical appliances in your home carry, as an added safety measure.
- Tested by UL itself. Not self-certified against the standard — tested by the body that writes it, which assures the highest level of compliance.
- The St. Paul line is certified too. Intertek certifies the operation itself, not only the product designs — an independent check on how the units are actually built.
Quality manufacturing
- Every board inspected before assembly. Each circuit board is visually inspected and pre-tested before we build the final assembly, so a fault is caught while it is still cheap to fix.
- Every unit tested before shipment. Each completed inverter is fully tested. Our documentation and procedures are designed to consistently produce a product that performs to specification.
Where we come from
Two American inverter companies
The hardware we build started life at two well-known American inverter companies. Dimensions Inverters and Magnum Energy each spent decades building mobile and off-grid power equipment; between them the two lines represent more than 66 years of continuous production.
Dimensions Inverters was acquired by Sensata Technologies in 2007 and Magnum Energy in 2014, and the two were sold together under the Magnum-Dimensions name. DMX Power bought the lines outright and now designs, manufactures and supports them independently.
The lineage carries forward in the hardware itself: the same series designations, the same designs, refined by the same engineers, now under the DMX Power name. A unit bought under either of the old brands is still supported here — its manuals, specifications and fault references are all in the support hub.

Where to reach the right person
Technical support — troubleshooting, documentation, warranty and compatibility questions: Email. Much of it is answered already in the support hub — fault codes, wiring references and the full manual archive.
Orders, pricing, partnerships and sales: Email, including current availability by model.
If you would rather write than email, the contact form reaches the same people.
